Maths W11 T2

This week for maths my hub was looking at shapes. We were made a little worksheet to do and here is mine. We had to figure out wether they were Platonic or not.

The next thing we got to do is choose another shapes task to do. I chose one that we had to use multi link cubes for. First we had to create the shapes that the site told us to do and then make them into a cube. After we had done that we had to take the cube apart then we would be left with new shapes. From there we had to draw them onto a piece of dotted paper. After we had done that we had to put the shapes back together to make a cube. Here are some pictures.

Reading W11 T2

This week for reading my groups goal was "Visualise using all of the senses, and talk about how this enriches meaning". We were asled to draw a picture so we know how to visualize what we are reading. i read a snippet from Harry Potter. Here is mine.

Maths W10 T2

This week for Maths my group was looking at proportional adjustment with decimals. I really like this strategy because it makes it way easier to solve the problem I am working on. Here is my DLO (Digital learning object) for this week.

This week for writing my group was working on changing our starter words and making our sentences complex and compound. We worked on a template and here is mine.

Reading W10 T2

This week for reading I was learning summarising again. To get the goal marked off we have to show that we can do it three times. SO this week I read a book called MeMe and Me. I really liked reading this book and it had lots of detail. Here is my DLO (Digital Learning object)

Reading W9 T2

This week for Reading my group was looking at summarising. We read a book about The polynesian Panthers. The polynesian Panthers were a group of people standing up for their rights as black people or as a different race. I find this very inspiring that these people are brave enough to do that. I think this book delivers a very good message and would be useful at this time. Here is what I did for my create task.

Thie week for Maths I did rounding and compensating with whole numbers and decimals. i did not know but I actually already had this goal ticked off but its ok. I still learnt something new and here is my create task I did.

For maths this week we have been looking at division and multiplication. I don't think I am very good at multiplication but I tried. Here is some of the work I did.

Writing W8 T2

This week for writing we were focuing on writing narratives. I wrote a narrative about me and my cat. This was a fiction story so none of this was real. But I really liked this story so I hope you enjoy.
