Slinky

Slinky

(After I have done all the cats I will share some more information) Slinky isn't actually my cat she is my nana's cat. Slinky looks just like Bullseye. Slinky gets very scared and doesn't like beingpicked up as much as the other cats do. Slinky really doesn'y mind that i'm home because she is usually outside or sleeping anyway. Slinky loves being brushed and most of the time refuses to eat her food. Slinky doesn't  mind Jessie but I think she dislikes Bullseye. I also think she dislikes Alfie too.

Jessie my other cat

Jessie

Jessie is Special. He meows at least 200 times a day. He loves hugs and food. He is not liking me being at home all the time. In fact i'm pretty sure he is sick of me. When I say he loves food I mean he absolutely adores his food. Jessie likes to go outside and play with Bullseye. Jessie has a friend called Alfie who lives down the road from us. Jessie has found a spot to hide away from me while I am home.  Jessie does not mind Slinky because most of the time he just ignores her. Jessie loves Bullseye because thye have known each other for a while because they are twins and he loves chasing her so thats probably why he likes her so much.

Bullseye my cat

Bullseye

Bullseye is very adventurous. She loves going outside and catching birds. Bullseye is a very friendly cat, she enjoys being chased by Jessie because she is too fast for him. Bullseye strongly dislikes Aflie (the friendly neighbourhood cat) and does not enjoy getting hugs as much as Jessie does. Bullseye does not get as much food as Jessie because he usually eats her food once he has finished his. I don't think Bullseye likes having me home all the time either but I guess she has to deal with it. Bullseye dislikes Slinky (Nana's cat) alot. Whenever she sees Slinky she hisses and makes very funny noises.

Maths Week 8

This week for maths my group has been learning equal adjustments. I found this strategy quite easy to get the hang of. Equal adjustment is just like round and compensating exept you are doing something to both sides. This is a photo of what I have made to display my learning.
What maths are you learning about at the moment?

Reading W7

This week for reading we were asked to read an online book about the treaty of waitangi and then find a word that we didn't know the meaning of. My word was Authority. I have no clue what it means, but based on what I have heard it has something to do with rights and power. Here is a google drawing I have made to display my learning.
What's a word you don't know the meaning of? Let me know in the comments.

Maths W7

This week for maths we have been looking at rounding and compensating with decimals. We have been trying to make it easier to add decimal figures together. By rounding one of the figures up/down its easier to add to the other decimal figure. Then we make an adjustment for the figure we have compensated. I made a google drawing to display my learning.

Does my drawing help you understand how it is easier to add decimal figures together? Let me know what you think.

Writing W7

This week for writing we have been focusing on how to write biographies.  We were asked to write instructions for how to write a good biography.  I gave a list of starting points that would give you an interesting biography, one that wouldn't make you go to sleep if you read it. Here are my instructions.

Have you written a biography? Would you find this useful for writing about a famous person?
