Communtication 

When working in a group communication is important , so that you know who is doing what and Who is bringing in what. Without communtication nothing would happen. I think I have been communicating with my group well. I told them that I would bring sponges in and I did. We worked good together. Overall I think my group has communticated very well.

Waitangi

This term we were learning about waitangi. We were asked to go away and come up with something creative to display what we have learnt. Beth and I made a quick news report. Here it is.

Creativity

Hello and Welcome back to my blog. Today we are looking at creativity. We were asked to think of some interesting ways of how you could use a paper clip. My top 5 most creative ways were:

1. Use it as a book mark
2. Use it to get the sim ard out of your phone
3. Remover dirt from under your nails
4. Pop balloons
5. As an earring 

What is Creativity?

Creativity is like thinking outside of the box. Its like thinking differently. Its really hard to explain but its like creatively thinking.

I didn't bring as much Creativity to the group as I should have but I did take part in making our final product.

Do you do PBL at your school?

PBL collaboration

This Term in the Kaupeka Hub we have been working very hard on our PBL we have been making some games for our fair. The whole Kaupeka hub is running the kids zone and we were asked to make a game it. We got split into groups of people that we had never worked with before. We didn't work as well as I thought we would because some people in our group were being silly and got paint everywhere. So they got banned from painting with us. But overall we worked together alright and we got the job done. Also as a hub we are looking at what a good collaborator is here are some ideas of what a good collaborator is:

• Cares for the group
• Talks to the group
• Shares their ideas
• Listens to eachother
• Helps their group
• Easy to work with (They actually do something)
• Hard working (Do their fair share)
• Ellaborate on others ideas
• Use others stengths and skills

How I helped my group:

• I did alot of the painting
• I bought sponges in for our group
• I talked to my group
• Me and Sienna were the better painters so we painted while the boys did something else
• We came up with our final product by building on each others ideas

For our game my group is doing a sponge the student. We got a MASSIVE piece of plywood and painted the cookie monster on it. We cut a hole in it for someone in our group to stick their face through, and then little children throw sponges at their face. I think my group could work on getting along better because we didn't get along that well. I think the fair is going to be Really cool, you should come along it is on sunday the 8th of March from 11am till 3pm at our school.

2020 Kaupeka

2020 Kaupeka

This year I am a year 7 in the Kuapeka hub. I have really been looking forward to this year. My hopes for this year are that I do well with my school work and that I also do well with my sport. I'm looking forward to tech and being one of the older kids in the school. I also look forward to playing 7 a side in netball. In the holidays I went to nelson to see my uncles new house. There was a great view from his house. I am so excited to see what the year brings.

Summer sport

Summer Sport

On the 7th of november Our hub was taken out for some summer sport. I was so excited. My Group was doing lawn bowls. It was very sunny outside so it was quite hard. I was in a group of 3 people. I did not have a very fun time as I was sick and very tired. But if I wasnt like that it would have been very fun. the first activity we did was trying to knock other other balls out of the hoop. We had 2 teams Green and purple. Lets just say green goes first and they got five balls in the hoola hoops and then purple would have to knock as many out as they could. Once we had done that we just did a rotation of some little games in out groups. As I said I was in a group of 3 with Ariella and Jasmine. I still have 2 rotaions left witch are cricket and korfball.
